Los Rio Rancho in Oak Glen, California is worth an annual visit - preferably in Sept-November when there is actually Fruit on the trees ...that you can pick and take home. The weekend I was there, it was Apple Butter Festival, and there was plenty of delicious apples samples, pies, ciders and spreads but too late in the season for apple-picking. They had several crafts and activities (hence the archery photo) Plus the first bit of local SNOW and we found it - every available handful.
