This family-run and family-friendly farm in Irvine, CA has one of the greatest community supported agriculture programs. CSA's offer to individuals and families the ability to purchase Local-Grown fruits and vegetables and have them delivered to a community location like school, once a week.
Tanaka Farms also has the greatest farm tours, afterward, you get to pick and eat as many Strawberries (this time of year) as you want. My sister and family get a CSA box once a week and we recently attended an appreciation day for all the CSA-er's participating, we got to pick veggies from the ground, wash them and then have them spiced and grilled while we socialized in the shade with other happy people. After our delicious, organic, vegetarian lunch we strolled down the rows & rows of strawberries for dessert, muy delicioso.
