my beautiful friend sylvia is expecting baby #3 and was given a blessingway / party for her upcoming home birth. a henna artist gave us all unique designs to wear on our arms and hands, sylvia decorated her belly. all of the women & girls in attendance spoke a few words, donated a few beads for a birth bracelet and brought something from nature for her homage to mother earth. look at the message a young girl wrote for her regarding being the tree of life... sweetness.
